To celebrate Capitol Hill’s rich and diverse history, we’ve arranged a self-guided walking tour of 46 sites, a small sampling of the hundreds of other cultural treasures available to enjoy.

We were pleased to offer two fan-favorites from the Mother’s Day Tour of Tours – plus two new tours, requested by attendees – on September 11 and 12, 2021.  Ticket sales through EventBrite ended September  8 at 3 pm. Additional tours are scheduled for November. Photos of September Tours

Our guided tours (May 8 & 9) are over – for the moment.  We appreciate the support of the Capitol Hill community and plan to offer guided walking tours in the months to come. The next tours are scheduled for the weekend of September 11 & 12. While you’re waiting, check out these self-guided tours:

Local artists displayed their work in their own micro-galleries, on porches or in yards. See the list of artists below and samples of their work.

The Capitol Hill Jazz Ensemble gave live performances during the event.

New additions! In anticipation of our first-ever Virtual House and Garden Tour, we are collecting mini cell phone videos (< 2 min) of neighbors talking about some feature of their home that they think would be of particular interest or that they’re particularly fond of. 

Since this scavenger hunt was originally published, in May 2020, several items have disappeared. We’ve left their pictures in place to acknowledge the amusement they provided but have noted their absence. As we become aware of others, we’ll update. Below are pictures of the items to seek.
